This tiled robe is a prototype for an examination of physical concealment and sculptural display. The ceramic tiles act as a means of strengthening the protective properties of the robe, while adorning the body in a display of strength. The robe was hand and machine stitched from recycled fabric, before unglazed, press molded tiles were hand sewn to it.
