Zara Davis is a ceramic artist and summa cum laude graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology (BFA 2019). She currently works in Rochester NY as a resident artist for Flower City Arts Center and as a freelance jewelry designer. Zara’s work is intricate, detail oriented and aimed at showing the sumptuous nature of the body and strength of femininity.
Zara has incorporated her love for painting, drawing, jewelry and fiber arts in to her wider ceramics practice, earning recognition with academic awards, exhibitions and the sale of commissioned works. Zara’s work has been exhibited in multiple juried shows throughout the past eight years and a BFA solo exhibition Physical Mythos. She also helped represent RIT in the Annual Memorial Art Gallery: Fine Craft Show & Sale student exhibition. Most recently Zara’s work and was selected to participate in the The Clay Center of New Orleans 2019 Creep Show (collaborative piece) and Flower City Arts Center 2019 Good Things Come in Small Packages juried exhibitions.
