Raised as a Quaker with silent worship, the similarities among diverse spiritual practices resonate with me. Yet, I feel disconnected from structured religious precepts. As an artist, I am drawn to the visual elements of ritual absent from Quakerism. Still is a coil built portrait bust made as a way to work towards the tranquility it embodies, while struggling with inner turmoil.
